About The Position

The Director of Amazon Channel Distribution is the senior leader accountable for the end-to-end growth, performance, compliance, and operational excellence of ProCaps Laboratories’ Amazon business. This role owns the Amazon ecosystem, including advertising strategy, catalog management, regulatory compliance, demand forecasting, inventory health, and account performance while leading and developing a specialized Amazon team. This position requires deep technical expertise in Amazon platforms, particularly SAS Core and Amazon Seller Central, combined with strong people leadership and cross-functional influence. The Director ensures that ProCaps’ supplement and wellness portfolio is fully compliant, operationally sound, scalable, and protected from policy risk, while enabling sustainable growth on Amazon. This position leads the Amazon expert team, ensuring all channel activities remain synchronized to maximize sales performance, maintain compliance for regulated nutraceutical products, and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. The Director works cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Administration, and Creative teams to align advertising performance, product availability, and catalog accuracy while ensuring the Amazon channel supports ProCaps’ long-term growth strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration , Operations, Supply Chain, eCommerce, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience managing Amazon or marketplace businesses
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in eCommerce or digital marketplace management.
  • Proven leadership experience owning Amazon as a primary revenue channel and managing specialized Amazon teams.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with SAS Core, Seller Central, and/or Vendor Central.
  • Demonstrated experience managing catalog compliance and regulated categories (health, wellness, supplements strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Amazon: Account Health Listing policies and enforcement FBA operations and inventory health metrics
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Experience scaling Amazon businesses within regulated industries such as or nutraceutical or consumer packaged goods (CPG)
  • Familiarity with marketplace analytics tools
  • Advanced Excel and BI tool experience (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
  • Experience working in complex, high-SKU environments.
  • Experience managing Amazon agencies and marketplace partners.
  • Familiarity with PIM, DAM, and feed management platforms.
  • Experience leading Amazon through periods of rapid growth or operational transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall Amazon channel strategy, translating company growth and profitability objectives into executable operating plans across catalog, compliance, inventory, and fulfillment.
  • Identify market opportunities and competitive positioning strategies to expand market share.
  • Serve as the senior Amazon subject-matter expert internally, providing leadership with clear guidance on platform changes, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead Amazon as a core digital sales channel within the company’s broader commerce strategy.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Amazon team, setting clear performance expectations and accountability.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for critical Amazon issues, including delistings, account health risks, and operational disruptions.
  • Maintain expert-level command of Amazon Seller Central, Vendor Central, and SAS Core, ensuring accurate data interpretation and decision-making.
  • Leverage SAS Core analytics to monitor: Sales, traffic, conversion, and contribution margin Forecast accuracy and demand signals Inventory health, inbound performance, and operational KPIs
  • Translate complex Amazon data into clear insights and recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Oversee the Amazon advertising and retail media strategy including: Sponsored Products Sponsored Brands Sponsored Display Amazon DSP
  • Ensure campaigns drive customer acquisition, brand visibility, and revenue growth.
  • Monitor competitive activity and identify business development opportunities and market expansion.
  • Manage agency relationships and ensure advertising strategies align with inventory availability, product launches, and are delivering business acquisition results.
  • Oversee full catalog governance for all Amazon SKUs, ensuring listings are accurate, optimized, and fully compliant with Amazon and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure listings are optimized for Amazon search algorithms, discoverability, and conversion performance.
  • Manage Amazon Brand Registry and enforce brand protection policies including monitoring unauthorized sellers and listing violations.
  • Establish and enforce compliance frameworks across: Product listings and claims Labeling, packaging, and regulated category requirements New SKU setup and lifecycle management
  • Ensure proactive monitoring and rapid resolution of: Listing suppressions Policy violations Regulatory or documentation-related delistings
  • Partner closely with the Catalogue & Compliance Manager to conduct regular audits and maintain a low-risk catalog environment.
  • Own and monitor Amazon Account Health metrics, ensuring adherence to Amazon performance standards.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to: Policy compliance Customer experience metrics Operational and fulfillment performance
  • Lead corrective action plans and appeals when issues arise, safeguarding the continuity of the Amazon business.
  • Ensure SOPs, documentation, and audit readiness across all Amazon operations.
  • Provide strategic oversight of inventory planning, demand forecasting, and FBA/FBM operations.
  • Partner with the Operations, Inventory & Demand Manager to: Maintain healthy inventory positions Prevent stock-outs, excess inventory, and aged stock Align inventory availability with promotions and advertising
  • Ensure compliance with Amazon requirements related to: Inbound shipments Packaging and labeling Expiration and batch tracking (regulated categories)
  • Collaborate closely with: Marketing & Advertising (campaign readiness and compliant content) Supply Chain & Manufacturing Finance (forecasting, working capital, profitability) Regulatory & Quality teams
  • Manage and guide external Amazon agencies and partners, ensuring execution aligns with ProCaps standards, compliance requirements, and inventory realities.
  • Establish robust dashboards and reporting cadences covering: Sales & Conversion Rates Revenue growth & Profitability Inventory health and forecast accuracy Compliance incidents and resolution timelines Account health and operational KPIs
  • Translate and present market insights, risks, and strategic recommendations to improve sales and operational performance to senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making.
