The Opportunity The Director of Admissions manages and oversees the intake, admission and counselor assignment of all patients within Greenwich House's Center for Healing program. The primary objective of all staff at Center for Healing is to improve quality, treat and support patients in a caring professional manner and fulfill the agency’s mission to serve our patients. Requirements

  • LMHC, LMSW/LCSW or CASAC and two years’ experience supervising substance use disorder
  • Demonstrates clinical competence and leadership traits (e.g. decision-making ability, skills in problem solving and communication, prioritizing and team building)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time efficiently
  • Knowledge of and experience working with substance abuse and mental health

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the intake/admission process and ensure that regulatory requirements regarding admission are fulfilled, inclusive of admission physicals, treatment plans and paperwork
  • Supervise counseling staff who complete intake assessments
  • Supervise Certified Peer Recovery Advocate team, community and clinic based
  • Conduct intake interviews and assessments as needed
  • Must be a proficient in communication across disciplines, patient-centered care and harm reduction
  • Work with multidisciplinary team in assigning clients to appropriate treatment groups and individual services
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of intake department charts to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Development of referral sources, networking with other social service providers and developing linkage agreements and memorandum of understanding with referral sources and community outreach
  • Must be able to maintain the normal standard of ethics, conduct and organization policies in job related activities
  • Willing to be flexible in job capacity when necessary
  • Serve as a member of the senior leadership team within the clinic
  • Complete other clinical or administrative special projects a requested by Program Director
  • Attend and is prepared for all supervision sessions and team meetings
  • Attend all agency mandated training and other learning opportunities as recommended by supervisor
  • Keep Clinical Services Directors and/or designee updated on progress and problems
  • The ability to development independent projects as discussed Clinical Services Director
  • Interacts with all levels of personnel within the organization and maintains external business relationships within the social services community
  • Promotes a positive, constructive clinic atmosphere
  • Embraces patient-centered care and treats patients with unconditional positive regard.
  • Establishes rapport and trusting relationships with clients and counselors
  • Inspires confidence, determination and trust in clients and counselors
  • Establishes working relationships with other staff members, and works as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Makes rational and realistic decisions, based on logical assumptions which reflect factual information and consideration of organizational resources
  • Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned by the direct supervisor
  • Works collaboratively with Physician, Director, and other staff as part of the treatment team
  • Leadership role in development of program and treatment options; assists in the formulation of program policies and procedures
