To learn more please visit https://aspengrovehospital.com Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Intake Director to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. The Director of Intake is accountable for the oversight and direction of the hospital’s Admissions/Intake Department. As a clinician, this position provides direction to a staff of specialists in the provision of patient access to care and behavioral health assessment services, including call management, clinical evaluations for level of care, crisis intervention, admissions and referrals. The Intake Director organizes, manages and coordinates mobile assessment team services and will assure quality. This position interfaces closely with the hospital’s medical staff, nursing staff, fellow department heads, and administration, as well as external referring agencies and payers. The Intake Director is responsible for the department’s budget, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, service excellence, and data management/analysis. In addition, the Intake Director participates with the senior leadership team in the development and management of processes related to the hospital’s strategic goals. The Intake Department, has a 24 hour a day, seven day a week responsibility and accountability for assessment, referral and admission activities. The Intake Director is a working director and will be responsible for staffing the Intake Department. The Director of Intake reports directly to the hospital’s Associate Administrator. Requirements

  • LCSW, LCPC, CMHC, LMFT or Ph.D., or RN-Licensure-(Bachelors or Master’s) prepared from an accredited college or university.
  • Previous experience in Mental Health related field preferred. Ph.D. or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, mental health or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years direct clinical experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable.
  • Working knowledge of the Addiction & Recovery field and experience in clinical interviewing, patient assessment, family motivation, treatment planning, communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities, and working effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of managing a professional/clinical team and responsible for staffing, budget, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the department’s budget, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, service excellence, and data management/analysis.
  • Participates with the senior leadership team in the development and management of processes related to the hospital’s strategic goals.
