About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Accounts Receivable (AR) to lead and oversee accounts receivable operations across the East region. This role is responsible for driving timely cash collections, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations, and supporting strong revenue cycle performance across assigned facilities.

The Director of AR plays a critical role in protecting cash flow, improving processes, and partnering with leadership to achieve organizational financial goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• Strong experience leading Accounts Receivable or revenue cycle operations
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and driving performance
• Strong understanding of AR processes, collections, and financial controls
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement solutions
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of Accounts Receivable operations across assigned facilities
• Drive timely and accurate cash collection while reducing days in accounts receivable
• Establish, monitor, and enforce AR policies, procedures, and best practices
• Oversee billing, payment posting, collections, and account reconciliation processes
• Analyze AR aging reports, trends, and performance metrics; implement corrective action plans as needed
• Partner with facility leadership to resolve billing issues, denials, and payment delays
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, payer, and internal financial requirements
• Lead, coach, and develop AR managers and staff to ensure performance expectations are met
• Support audits, reporting requests, and financial reviews
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency
• Collaborate with finance leadership to align AR strategy with organizational goals
