This position is accountable for providing strategic and operational leadership to the Office of Access Management Access Advisors. The role collaborates closely with Medical Directors and Administrator within the Rochester Office of Access Management, and the Rochester Outpatient Practice leadership team to advance the Bold.Forward Strategy in Rochester. Responsibilities include participating in the development and execution of major strategic access initiatives, including automation, AI, and system implementation and integration projects, as well as designing tools and reports to support practice performance and conducting performance analysis. The individual serves as a liaison among clinical, business, and technical teams, supporting the implementation and operationalization of tactics and transformative changes. This role cultivates partnerships with both clinical and business units to establish a comprehensive understanding of multiple business areas, maintaining expert knowledge of current systems, tools, and methodologies. The incumbent is capable of independently managing mid- to large-scale operational projects, delegating tasks, and directing team members effectively. Additional responsibilities encompass coordinating implementation efforts and providing support for proposals that span organizational boundaries. The role requires an understanding of how OAM functions interrelate with other institutional functions, ensuring resource planning and alignment (projects, personnel, facilities, budget, equipment) are conducted efficiently and effectively, with a focus on enhancing efficiency across the access domain. Staffing duties involve assessing needs, recruiting, selecting, and developing team members to achieve optimal performance. The position provides training and mentoring as required. Financial accountability includes adherence to the designated operating budget and maintaining appropriate staffing levels to achieve objectives. A consistent onsite presence is essential to develop a thorough understanding of the Rochester Practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management, operations research, analytics, industrial or systems engineering, business administration, healthcare administration, or health related field and 9 years' experience, two of which include demonstrated leadership, in a clinical setting with an extensive working knowledge of clinic operations or information technology systems required.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the physician practice and patient flow throughout a large healthcare institution is required.
  • Experience in multiple areas within a large healthcare institution is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in aforementioned fields and 7 years' experience, two of which include demonstrated leadership, in a clinical setting with an extensive working knowledge of clinic operations or information technology systems strongly preferred.
