About The Position

About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 12 The Role: Director, North America Desktop Product Lead Buy Side Job Description: Lead NA business development initiatives for S&P Global’s Desktop products, identifying new opportunities and expanding client engagement within the Buy Side. Develop and execute strategic product roadmaps in collaboration with Product, Sales, Technology, Clients and Content teams to address client needs and market trends. Collaborate closely with global counterparts to share client feedback, align on priorities, and ensure consistent execution of desktop product strategies across regions. Deliver product training and enablement sessions for clients and internal teams, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of desktop products. Monitor competitive landscape and market trends to inform product development and positioning strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align desktop product priorities and identify synergies across data feeds and S&P Global divisions. Participate in regular product reviews and communicate updates across the organization and to clients. Develop and track metrics to demonstrate progress, business benefits, and client satisfaction related to desktop product initiatives.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the Investment Management, Private Equity and Insurance workflow, financial markets, and desktop product solutions.
  • Proven experience in business development, client engagement, and product management, ideally within the financial services or technology sectors.
  • Strong organizational, strategic planning, and leadership skills, with the ability to work across teams and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and public speaking skills, with experience interacting at all organizational levels.
  • Track record of working in diverse, global environments and motivating teams to achieve results.
  • Familiarity with data-centric technologies, analytics, and financial market data services.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years relevant business development and product management experience
