About The Position

Tongal is the proven platform where the world’s leading brands and entertainment companies collaborate with creators to produce premium content for every screen. We are seeking a Director of New Business to drive sales and grow Tongal’s overall revenue and customer base. This person will manage all aspects of the sales process, including active prospecting, qualification, evaluation, closing deals, expanding accounts, and will play an integral role in the success of the overall Business Development team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years enterprise sales experience. Minimum 6+ years of experience selling into marketing organizations. Background in content or creative platforms is a big plus
  • Existing book of business and deep customer relationships within the marketing organizations of the Fortune 500
  • Proven overachievement of sales goals in a large geographic territory
  • Expertise at an enterprise level, can navigate a large and complex marketing organization to identify the key decision maker and, ultimately, “drive the deal”
  • Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency and a belief in Tongal’s mission
  • Understand the need to work as a team for everyone to be successful. You know there are never enough resources and every day presents a challenge
  • Flawless oral and written communication skills are a must; You know what to say and more importantly, how and when to say it
  • Working knowledge and use of Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Gmail, Slides, Sheets, etc.) and Canva

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain prospect and customer target list
  • Develop and manage sales pipeline, prospect and move multiple transactions simultaneously through the pipeline to close
  • Manage prospective client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle
  • Originate new business opportunities through in-depth conversations and relationship building
  • Manage and track customer interaction and transactional information in a CRM system
  • Coordinate pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle
  • Lead presentations, product demonstrations and general support to prospective customers
  • Maintain customer relationships post-close and drive adoption and usage
  • Execute land-and-expand sales strategies to grow existing account size
  • Provide regular reporting of prospecting, pipeline and forecast through the CRM system
  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues, and products
  • Practice effective, excellent communication with management, customers and support staff
  • Travel to customer locations in support of sales efforts as needed
  • Attend conferences, summits, and client gatherings to further client relationships and drive new sales opportunities and incremental revenue
  • Plan & strategize marketing activities with Marketing
