About The Position

The Director of Network Strategy & Development is responsible for driving strategy and growth for Strive’s provider network. This individual will lead end-to-end deal structuring with physician groups, health systems, and medical service organizations, from initial outreach through negotiation, execution, and ongoing relationship management. To maximize partnership value creation, the Director will develop compelling value propositions tailored to provider audiences while collaborating cross-functionally with legal, finance, and clinical teams to ensure viable and compliant agreements. This position demands sophistication in alternative payment models, entrepreneurial execution in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on operational implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field or business administration.
  • 8 years of experience in provider engagement, provider relations, provider contracting, network strategy or related.
  • 2+ years of experience with payment methodologies and working in value-based care models.
  • Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs.
  • Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms.

  • Meet in person with internal and/or external stakeholders to facilitate team and business priorities/opportunities. Business travel may be required for opportunities to connect with stakeholders, serve patients, and attend Strive-sponsored team events.

Responsibilities

  • Lead partnership structuring, business development, and key provider relations activities nationally.
  • Define GTM strategy for network contracts to support Strive's total cost of care initiatives.
  • Set up and manage key business aspects of existing provider contracts (e.g., quality incentive programs, governance structures).
  • Lead strategic initiatives that maximize the value creation of Strive's provider partnerships.
  • Partner with legal to draft terms and support redline and contracting process.
  • Develop and maintain an organized “deal-status” tracker of contract documents for each provider organization.
  • Own physician and provider contracting strategy, including identification, negotiation, and execution of participation agreements.
  • Build and manage relationships with physician groups, independent practices, health systems, and MSOs.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and clinical leadership to ensure contracts are compliant, financially viable, and operationally executable.
  • Lead end-to-end deal execution—from initial outreach through diligence, contracting, and launch.
  • Create and deliver compelling value propositions and pitch materials tailored to physician and partner audiences.
  • Serve as a senior external representative of the company in negotiations, presentations, and industry forums.
