The Director, Network Orchestrator , reporting to the Executive Director of GBU Services will play a pivotal role in overseeing and harmonizing supply chain operations across multiple Brand-focused value chain teams within the organization. This leader will ensure seamless supply planning, feasibility assessment, and resolution of capacity conflicts across internal and external manufacturing sites, covering Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Finished Packaged Goods across all modalities. Key Responsibilities: This role is responsible for developing an integrated view of supply plans across the global manufacturing network, ensuring strategic alignment with corporate objectives, and driving execution excellence in support of patient supply and business priorities. The individual will lead the Monthly Plan Cycle, including the preparation and facilitation of the Global Supply Review with senior leadership to drive informed decision-making. This individual will play a critical role enabling network orchestration design and strategy in support of GBU within PDS. Network Services & Supply Feasibility Oversee supply planning and orchestration across all Brand-focused supply chain value chain teams, ensuring alignment across all internal and external manufacturing sites. Lead feasibility analysis of supply plans across sites and production lines, ensuring capacity is optimized and aligned with business needs. Identify and resolve capacity constraints, bottlenecks, and conflicts across manufacturing modalities (Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Finished Packaged Goods). Develop a comprehensive view of network-wide supply risks and opportunities, ensuring effective contingency planning and mitigation strategies. Budget Volume POC – Planning contact to set and project intercompany volumes based on demand forecasts, product/site assumptions and inventory levels Strategic Supply Planning & Integration Lead PDS Network Orchestration team to drive Network recommendations aligned to PDS Network strategy principles Partnering with cross functional GPS operational leadership to enable robust network strategy design aligned to evolving BMS Capability and portfolio volume needs Drive an integrated supply planning process that ensures the right balance between demand, capacity, and inventory across the network. Partner with Brand-focused supply chain ‘Pod’ teams to align supply priorities and execution strategies across multiple therapeutic areas. Ensure site-specific constraints and capabilities are fully integrated into global supply planning efforts. Act as the primary liaison between manufacturing sites and Supply Chain leadership to provide a consolidated view of supply execution. Global Supply Review & Plan Cycle Management Own and drive the Monthly Plan Cycle, including preparation and leading the Global Supply Review (GSR) with senior leadership. Synthesize key supply insights, risks, and trade-offs to enable fact-based decision-making at the executive level. Develop and implement KPIs, dashboards, and reports that provide real-time visibility into supply performance and operational effectiveness. Align cross-functional stakeholders (Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Commercial, Finance) on supply chain priorities and execution roadmaps. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving across Brand Pod Supply Chain teams and Senior Leadership. Partner closely with LRP, Manufacturing, Quality, External Manufacturing, and Finance to ensure alignment on supply chain strategies. Act as a key thought leader in supply chain network design and optimization, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and agility. Digital Acumen, Analytics, and Learning Designs and implements statistical and digital planning models to enhance accuracy, visibility, and scenario planning. Leads digital enablement with cross-functional teams, integrating enterprise tools and automation for supply chain efficiency. Connects data and processes to upstream/downstream activities. Utilizes visualization and data tools (Tableau, Power BI) and APS capabilities to monitor KPIs, perform root cause analysis, and support data-driven decisions. Understands the impact of functional decisions on key KPIs (e.g., cost per unit, inventory turnover, fulfillment rates, supplier lead times). Contributes to process improvements through digitization and automation of planning workflows. Executes tasks using tools (WMS, SAP, Tableau, Riverlogic, Kinaxis), follows SOPs, and maintains data and planning accuracy. Demonstrates curiosity and adaptability in learning and integrating new digital tools and platforms. Possesses strong planning and financial acumen with knowledge of ERP transaction codes, planning/operational software, and physical/transactional flows. Familiar with AI and ML systems for performance management and optimization. Actively upskills on emerging digital technologies and analytics techniques, adopting tools and machine learning in planning. Supports strategic digital initiatives, including automation, dashboard development, and AI/ML-enabled tools for predictive planning and supply chain responsiveness. Supports cross-functional projects on digital process redesign and capability building using platforms like SAP IBP, Kinaxis, and cloud-based analytics. Models a growth mindset by continually learning and experimenting with digital innovations, fostering a digitally savvy team culture.

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. in related field, required.
  • 10+ years of experience in end-to-end supply chain management within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Deep expertise in supply planning, network orchestration, and capacity management across API, Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Finished Packaged Goods.
  • Strong understanding of internal and external manufacturing network complexities, including CMO relationships.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior leadership in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience in running executive-level S&OP or Global Supply Review processes.
  • Proficiency in advanced supply planning tools (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, OMP, etc.) and data analytics for decision support.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate supply chain insights into strategic business recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management skills, defined as developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results
  • Critical Thinker with ability to think through process solutions while balancing current capabilities with the ability to analyze for potential future issues.
  • Demonstrated problem solver and strong initiative skills.
