The Director of NERC Reliability Assurance serves as the primary contact for Business Units regarding compliance standards. This role requires a compliance expert who will support the business units in being audit ready during investigations and with controls. The Director will lead a team responsible for all audit readiness activities, ensuring that Business Units are informed, supported, and compliant with established standards. What You'll Do: Audit Readiness: Take ownership of all audit readiness activities, including creating or assisting in the creation of Risk Self-Assessment Worksheets (RSAWs). Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) promptly and accurately. Conduct continual reviews of standards and perform gap analyses to identify compliance issues. Communicate identified gaps to Business Units and provide actionable recommendations for remediation. Compliance Support: Lead compliance support efforts during audits and assist Business Units in their compliance initiatives. Track the implementation of audit recommendations and address any violations identified during the audit process. Incident Investigation: Investigate compliance incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and draft effective mitigation plans. Ensure all necessary evidence is collected to meet the requirements of the mitigation plan, including obtaining certification for the plan. Control Implementation: Create and perform Level 2 controls to ensure adherence to standards. Education and Training: Develop and deliver compliance education around standards to enhance understanding and implementation within the organization. Standards Management: Ensure that standards are properly implemented and consistently meet compliance requirements.
