About The Position

T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. By the time you finish reading this paragraph, we will have produced two solar panels that will power American homes and fuel domestic AI. What You'll Do Define and execute the annual Quality strategy aligned with plant and company objectives. Lead all site quality functions: quality engineering, inspection, supplier quality, customer quality and after-sales support. Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring ISO compliance and audit readiness. Establish and enforce quality control plans from incoming materials through production, testing, and shipment. Drive root cause analysis, CAPA execution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead supplier quality programs, including audits, performance reviews corrective actions, and incoming inspections. Serve as primary quality interface for customers, supporting audits, inspections, and field performance issues. Investigate and resolve customer complaints and major quality incidents; verify corrective actions effectiveness. Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, R&D, and Operations to proactively mitigate risk and support new product introductions. Build and develop a strong quality team through hiring, coaching, and capability development. Product certification and raw material certification management in global supplies qualification strategies. Define and monitor executive-level KPIs (PPM, FPY, warranty rate, escape rate, audit score, etc.) Quality budget planning and control. Who You Are: Operationally grounded and comfortable on the factory floor. Decisive, structured, and data-driven. Able to influence senior leadership. Experienced in interacting with key customers at executive level. Experienced in preventing issues, not just reacting to them. Strong cross-functional leader, who can influence without slowing operations. Committed to building scalable systems, not one-ff fixes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related technical discipline (Materials, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical preferred).
  • 8+ years of quality leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • 5+ years in photovoltaic/solar module manufacturing or closely related advanced manufacturing.
  • Deep understanding of PV module processes, failure modes, and corrective methodologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 (required) ISO 14001, ISO 45001., IATF 1649 preferred.
  • Regulatory compliance (UL 61730, IEC 617301, IEC 61215, OSHA, etc.).
  • Hands-on expertise with Six Sigma, SPC, 8D, CAPA, and core quality tools.
  • Proven experience in supplier quality, customer audits, and after-sales quality support.
