As the Director, National Retail Sales Canada you will serve as the primary architect of our growth strategy within the region. This is a senior management position with full P&L responsibility. You aren't just managing a sales team; you are building a business. You will be responsible for the end-to-end success of all sales channels—including E-commerce, Retail, and Distributors. Your objective is to balance immediate revenue targets with the long-term strategic health of the market, ensuring that the country’s organizational structure, talent, and tools are optimized to exceed performance goals.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in sales, business development, or general management, preferably within the consumer goods, home improvement, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing a full P&L and scaling a regional or country-level business unit.
  • Analytical Expertise: Proficiency in using data to tell a story and drive decision-making. You should be comfortable with financial modeling and business intelligence tools.
  • Strategic Mindset: Experience building "the machine," not just running it. You understand how labor, structure, and process intersect to create success.
  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively C-suite stakeholders both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

  • Full P&L Ownership: Manage the country’s budget, revenue, and margins, ensuring sustainable profitability and efficient resource allocation.
  • Long-Term Growth Planning: Develop and execute multi-year strategic roadmaps for all market channels (E-commerce, Retail, and Distribution).
  • Organizational Design: Evaluate and implement the ideal labor structure to support growth. This includes hiring, training, and mentoring a high-performing team.
  • Infrastructure & Tools: Ensure the team is equipped with the appropriate technology, CRM tools, and sales enablement resources to meet short- and long-term objectives.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Lead and advocate conversations with cross functional partners to ensure goals have apt support and develop issue resolution plans in cases where needed.
  • Analytical Rigor: This is a deeply analytical role. You will dive into complex data sets to identify root causes of performance gaps and uncover untapped market opportunities.
  • Evidence-Based Growth: Develop and pitch data-driven strategies for market expansion, pricing adjustments, and inventory optimization.
  • Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs that move the needle, moving beyond "vanity metrics" to focus on true business impact.
  • Reporting: Present and identify key figures beyond high-level sales and profitability data to key stakeholders, as well as senior leadership to properly communicate progress toward long term goals.
  • Channel Innovation: Emphasize developing new opportunities with existing partners, creating innovative programs to increase share-of-wallet within established retail channels.
  • New Business Acquisition: Pursue and establish productive new relationships with retailers and distributors to broaden the NewAge Products footprint.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Act as the face of the brand in the country, negotiating high-level contracts and fostering long-term executive-level relationships.
  • Go To Market: develop and execute appropriate go-to-market strategy for new product releases.
