About The Position

The Director of National Accounts - Mass Value Drug at Monster Energy Company is responsible for driving sales, share growth, and profitability within the designated territory of National Customers in the Mass, Value, and Drug Channels. This senior-level role involves managing a team, executing Joint Business Plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve strategic business objectives aligned with Monster's core values and customer goals.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of sales experience in beverage and/or retail environments.
  • Sales leadership experience managing a team.
  • Direct selling experience with Walmart preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish credibility and collaborate with customers at all levels.
  • Strong time management and business planning skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with Nielsen and/or IRI.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a broker/distributor/bottler sales environment.
  • Proficiency in business analytics and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with assigned MVD Channel territories.
  • Understand customer and bottler business aspects that impact MEC and lead the team through challenges.
  • Achieve sales goals by collaborating with assigned accounts and internal teams.
  • Develop and sell profitable business plans that align with corporate and brand strategies.
  • Lead the Joint Business Planning process with the MEC Team and Bottlers.
  • Collaborate with Bottling partners to execute National and Regional Plans.
  • Track and analyze data to convert insights into sales solutions.
  • Manage account communication on promotional opportunities in a timely manner.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve customer service and business performance.
  • Monitor business plans and actions for financial impact on MEC and customers.
  • Resolve business and customer-related issues promptly with actionable solutions.
  • Ensure accurate data dissemination to relevant parties.
  • Provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
  • Model exemplary leadership behavior.
