Director, Maternal Child Health
About The Position
Join a dynamic organization and progressive Maternal Child Health (MCH) team! The Director of Maternal Child Health is responsible for directing strategy, operations and the clinical practice environment. The service line includes Labor & Delivery, Maternity, Special Care Nursery and Pediatrics. The Director of MCH works closely with Medical Directors. L &D has a laborist program, residency program and private providers to do over 1400 deliveries annually. A clinical affiliation with Tufts Children's hospital is in place for pediatrics and neonatology. The Director will promote standardized systems ensuring a strong nursing practice environment and a philosophy of patient centered care. A commitment to nurturing a culture of safety is essential as these teams have done much work in establishing safety huddles, just culture and Team Stepps. The candidate must also demonstrate a commitment to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion as the hospital has elevated its commitment and journey. The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to excellence, innovations in practice, teamwork, and a focus on family-centered care. This position reports to the Senior Vice-President of Operations/Chief Nursing Officer.
Requirements
- current Massachusetts Registered Nurse licensure
- Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in nursing also required
- 5 years' experience in maternal child health care in an acute care hospital
- minimum of 3 years' management experience and demonstrated leadership
