About The Position

We're looking for an experienced Director of Marketing to lead our marketing team at Armstrong . You'll develop and execute digital and traditional marketing strategies to acquire new customers and keep existing ones happy. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in marketing with at least 3 years in leadership
  • Strong track record in digital marketing (SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing)
  • Experience with marketing technology platforms (CRM, automation tools, analytics)
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver ROI
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or relevant certifications (Google Ads, HubSpot, Salesforce)
  • Experience in telecommunications, fiber internet, cable, or subscription-based services
  • Familiarity with customer data platforms (CDP) like Adobe or Klayvio CDP
  • Experience with out-of-home marketing campaigns
  • Knowledge of AI tools for marketing
  • SQL or data visualization experience (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
  • E-commerce and website optimization expertise

Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing strategy across digital channels (paid search, social media, email) and out-of-home campaigns (billboards, transit ads)
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention programs to grow our subscriber base and reduce churn
  • Own marketing budget and deliver ROI across all channels
  • Track key metrics like customer acquisition cost, conversion rates, churn rate, and customer lifetime value
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Service, and Technology teams to align marketing with business goals
  • Work with leadership to build a team ( if there are skill set gaps ) that will o ptimize our website to convert visitors into customers (improve conversion rates, reduce cart abandonment)
  • Run and optimize digital campaigns across search, social, email, and display advertising
  • Build email campaigns and retention programs to keep customers engaged
  • Use analytics tools to understand customer behavior and improve campaign performance
  • Implement A/B testing to continuously improve results
  • Work with customer data platforms and CRM systems to personalize marketing
  • Evaluate and implement marketing technology tools (email platforms, analytics, automation)
  • Use AI tools for content creation, audience targeting, and campaign optimization where appropriate
  • Build reporting to track performance and inform decision-making
  • Build and mentor a marketing team
  • Manage relationships with agencies and vendors
  • Foster a culture of testing, learning, and continuous improvement
