About The Position

Music Services Division is looking for a Director, Marketing to join our team in New York. As Director, Marketing, you will be responsible for developing, leading, and executing a comprehensive and innovative end-to-end global marketing strategy that drives growth, brand awareness, and customer engagement. This role will oversee outbound and inbound marketing, content and brand management, and creative execution for a global audience. The ideal candidate excels in a high-touch environment, ensuring proper execution and completion of global marketing efforts and leading successful campaigns and initiatives under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Music Business, Business Administration, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years related professional experience, preferably at a distributor, label, label services, or management company.
  • A proven track record of executing creative marketing strategies and innovative campaigns that drive revenue growth and establish strategic partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of advertising and marketing processes, as well as an understanding of corporate branding concepts.
  • Experience with social media management platforms and content creation; HubSpot experience is a plus.
  • Track record of exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to effectively prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative, creative problem-solving, and analytical skills, comfortable working independently as well as part of a team to achieve department goals.
  • Willingness to learn and develop in a dynamic and growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the creative strategy and lead outbound marketing initiatives from concept through execution, including email marketing campaigns, promotional and lifecycle communications, and sales-focused messaging design to drive pipeline growth.
  • Spearhead the development of inventive and original sales pitch decks, pitchbooks, and marketing collateral that support the global sales team throughout the customer journey by clearly communicating the company’s value propositions.
  • Develop and execute a scalable inbound marketing strategy that attracts qualified leads through digital channels and supports long-term growth objectives.
  • Plan, manage and optimize original paid digital advertising campaigns across search, social, and other relevant platforms to maximize return on investment.
  • Oversee SEO initiatives to improve visibility, traffic quality, and conversion performance across owned digital properties.
  • Oversee all aspects of the creation of high-quality visual and written content that is suited for a global audience.
  • Drive and evolve the brand strategy, ensuring consistent and effective application of brand standards across all internal and external platforms.
  • Manage media relations and industry events (conferences, panels, podcasts), ensuring our brand is positioned as a leader in the music publishing and label administration space.
  • Collaborate closely with the external consultants, business teams, operations and IT on developing design and wireframes for existing and new products, including cutting-edge website design.
