Most importantly, it puts people first! 🤩 The Director, Marketing Technology is responsible for leading the strategy, integration, and performance of the marketing technology ecosystem. This role ensures that systems, data, and processes work seamlessly together to support demand generation, lead management, and revenue growth. This is not a hands-on development role. Instead, this leader will manage a technically adept team and serve as the key connector between marketing, sales operations, and technical stakeholders. The focus is on system integration, data integrity, process optimization, and clear communication across functions. The ideal candidate brings strong martech experience, understands how tools like Salesforce, Pardot, LeanData, Zapier, and Chili Piper work together, and can translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing technology, marketing operations, or related fields, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience working with integrated martech stacks, especially Salesforce and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Pardot).
  • Deep understanding of lead routing, data hygiene, lifecycle management, and campaign operations.
  • Proven ability to manage system integrations across tools like LeanData, Zapier, Chili Piper, and similar platforms.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales Operations and working alongside Salesforce admins/developers.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience leading and developing technical or operations-focused teams.
  • Highly organized with strong documentation and process management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce certifications (Admin, Advanced Admin, or similar).
  • Experience overseeing website teams or CMS platforms.
  • Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and privacy standards.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Marketing Technology Ecosystem
  • Define and manage the marketing tech stack, ensuring systems integrate effectively (e.g., Salesforce, Pardot, LeanData, Zapier, Chili Piper).
  • Partner closely with Sales Operations to align on architecture, data structure, and system workflows.
  • Ensure marketing systems support lead lifecycle management, attribution, and pipeline growth.
  • Lead Data Hygiene & Lead Management
  • Establish and maintain best practices for data quality, governance, and enrichment.
  • Oversee lead routing logic, scoring models, and lifecycle stages to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure seamless flow of data between web forms, CMS, marketing automation, and CRM.
  • Drive Campaign Execution Infrastructure
  • Oversee the systems and processes that power email marketing, drip campaigns, and personalized communications.
  • Ensure campaigns are executed accurately, efficiently, and at scale.
  • Continuously improve segmentation, targeting, and personalization capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Enablement
  • Act as the primary liaison between marketing, sales ops, and technical teams.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Gather requirements, prioritize requests, and ensure alignment across teams.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing technologists and operations specialists.
  • Ensure the team is technically strong, well-documented, and process-driven.
  • Promote best practices in documentation, QA, and system governance.
  • (Optional) Website & CMS Oversight
  • Potentially oversee website development resources, focusing on project management and alignment—not coding.
  • Ensure strong integration between the website, CMS, and marketing systems.
  • Facilitate clear communication between web development and marketing teams.
