About The Position

The Director of Manufacturing Engineering Operations leads all aspects of manufacturing engineering to ensure efficient, scalable, and high-quality production operations. This senior leadership role drives strategic manufacturing engineering initiatives, oversees process improvements, equipment deployment, capacity planning, and cross-functional collaboration to meet business objectives in an EMS environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience, including leadership in EMS or complex manufacturing.
Proven track record leading large teams and managing multi-site operations.
Strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, operational excellence, and capital equipment management.
Excellent strategic planning, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally at all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

Lead the manufacturing engineering department to develop and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with business goals.
Oversee process design, equipment engineering, NPI, and continuous improvement programs across manufacturing sites.
Manage capital equipment investments, capacity planning, and technology deployment.
Drive Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives at scale.
Collaborate closely with Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and Operations leadership.
Build and develop a high-performing engineering team, mentoring managers and senior engineers.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Manage departmental budget, resources, and vendor relationships.
Report key performance metrics and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
