About The Position

We are now seeking talented individuals to join our team for the following role: TITLE: Director of Manufacturing (Operations) REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President of Operations POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Manufacturing will drive standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across injection molding, blow molding, closure operations, and pallet production at our five manufacturing facilities. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • 8+ years of manufacturing managerial experience in plastics manufacturing, with multi-site responsibility (preferred).
  • Strong background in PET and HDPE processing, including injection molding, blow molding and compression molding operations.
  • Proven ability to lead change, drive results, and influence teams across multiple locations.
  • Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and capital investment analysis.
  • Strong decision making and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervisory oversight for manufacturing operations across multiple manufacturing facilities.
  • Lead General Managers and plant leadership teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and conversion cost targets.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all OSHA, environmental, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with the Director of Quality to ensure adherence to all quality standards related to preforms, bottles, pallets, and closures.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methods to drive improvements in all processes to include scrap reduction, efficiency, cycle times/line speeds, changeovers and uptime.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Manufacturing Services, IT, and Finance to support short- and long-term business objectives.
  • Support new product introductions, tooling launches, and process validations for new customers and programs.
  • Partner with the SVP of Operations to develop and manage manufacturing budgets and cost reduction initiatives and to evaluate and justify capital investments related to molding presses, molds, automation, material handling, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee engagement while supporting workforce development, training, and succession planning across all manufacturing locations.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the SVP of Operations.
