About The Position

The Global Insurance Services Practice is looking for Life Actuaries with 6+ years of experience. As a Director, you will be responsible for delivering actuarial services to a variety of insurance companies, corporate entities, and/or law firm clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Fellow or Associate of the Society of Actuaries
  • 6+ years of relevant post-graduate professional experience
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of consulting experience
  • Relevant life insurance or annuity experience in pricing, valuation, and/or reinsurance
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with team members and client personnel in demanding, deadline-driven situations
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with predictive modeling tools and languages, and actuarial modeling software

Responsibilities

  • Take a leadership role in client engagements to include pricing, reserving (including Statement of Actuarial Opinion work), due diligence, development of rating models, predictive modeling, internal controls assessments, and litigation support
  • Interact confidently and professionally with FTI and client personnel throughout various engagements
  • Assist with the development of proposals and participate in other business development initiatives
  • Oversee staff in execution of actuarial services
