About The Position

The Director – Supply Chain Planning & Sourcing is a senior strategic partner and thought leader responsible for modernizing and elevating global Supply Chain Planning & Sourcing through next-generation ERP capabilities and advanced digital supply chain technologies. This leader will shape and execute the digital vision for Planning & Sourcing, driving transformation through cloud ERP, agentic AI, automation, and real-time insights across the entire value chain. As a key influencer across both Business and IT, this role will champion agility, visibility, and resilience while building world-class, future-ready capabilities. Job will be ON SITE - DEERFIELD

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Deep understanding of both supply chain planning and sourcing processes.
  • Deep expertise and 10+ years of experience in successfully transforming or simplifying business processes and capabilities for supply chain planning and sourcing organization using on-premises and cloud-based SAP and Oracle ERP.
  • Experience in leading 2+ complete life cycle deployment of SAP or Oracle ERP solutions across large global supply chain businesses.
  • Strong track record in ensuring business realizes and maximizes value from these transformational initiatives.
  • Experience in successfully collaborating with Supply Chain Planning, Sourcing and IT stakeholders to drive digital transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud) and digital supply chain platforms like O8, supplier collaboration solutions, and digital sourcing strategies.
  • Familiarity with digital supply chain planning and sourcing enablers such as, AI/ML, RPA, and others
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Digital Transformation & Innovation Define and lead the technology strategy and 3-year digital roadmap for Planning & Sourcing, fully aligned to business priorities and enterprise value creation. Ensure all IT initiatives directly advance strategic goals across procurement, planning, logistics, inventory, and supplier management. Partner closely with Planning, Sourcing, and IT leadership to deliver IT-enabled process transformation that modernizes and harmonizes global capabilities. Lead enterprise initiatives to digitize and optimize end-to-end Planning & Sourcing through SAP cloud ERP, agentic AI, digital planning tools, and modern sourcing platforms. Champion adoption of real-time analytics, control towers, and AI-driven intelligence to enhance strategic sourcing, inventory optimization, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and ESG outcomes. Promote end-to-end data visibility, transparency, and accessibility across the value chain.
  • Business & IT Collaboration Partner as a trusted technology advisor to Planning & Sourcing leadership. Own and strengthen the business–IT relationship for global Planning & Sourcing functions. Drive system enablement of end-to-end business processes using industry-leading, SAP-driven best practices. Collaborate across IT to design scalable, pragmatic solutions that address operational challenges and unlock strategic value. Translate Planning & Sourcing needs into technology capabilities that improve forecasting accuracy, demand planning, supplier engagement, and sourcing efficiency.
  • Change Management & Project Delivery Lead change management and project execution for major IT-enabled transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. Deliver end-to-end project leadership—ensuring successful deployment, user adoption, value realization, and long-term sustainability. Use structured methodologies to ensure seamless integration, process adherence, and effective adoption for global teams. Deliver transformational milestones on time and within budget, while ensuring business readiness. Own the value realization agenda, driving adoption and continuously refining the operating model. Define, measure, and report key metrics to demonstrate performance improvement and business value tied to transformation initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement & Compliance Partner with business and IT teams to continuously improve capabilities, tools, and processes. Prioritize IT demand based on impact, ROI, and urgency, while facilitating effective governance for resource alignment. Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards across diverse Planning & Sourcing environments. Lead the advancement of real-time data, KPIs, and analytics to enhance supply chain performance and decision-making.
