About The Position

The Director IT Infrastructure and Operations is responsible for Bristow’s unified information technology infrastructure and support services and for leading the staff who design, maintain and operate it. The Director is responsible for infrastructure architecture, performance, availability, incident, capacity, configuration, security and for the tools, processes, and personnel to support system uptime, availability, enhancements and operations. The Director will provide leadership in the ongoing operations and improvements of network, storage, compute, security and cloud architecture, resolve problem areas, uphold product quality, and drive innovation and design with constant engagement across a variety of stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technology, engineering, aviation/transportation, or computer science field or relevant experience
  • 15+ years’ of experience within Information Technology: supporting systems, people and processes
  • Experience leading, managing, and delivering projects, managing both external clients/stakeholders and internal leaders and project teams
  • Experience with managing and leading Projects and Project Management concepts (certification preferred)
  • Experience with the Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
  • Experience with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, especially around Change & Release Management
  • Experience with Security and Risk Management, including but not limited to: SOX, ISO 27001 IT General Controls
  • Experience with IT organizational and business change management concepts
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology requirements
  • Strong strategic vision with a hands-on approach to operational excellence.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, drive cost savings, and achieve IT ROI
  • Microsoft Office Intermediate skills
  • Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) Toolsets: MS Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, etc

Responsibilities

  • Establish a product and services roadmap and lead initiatives to transform IT Infrastructure systems by identifying key areas for improvement and implementing strategic changes.
  • Provide technical and operational oversight and leadership to the architecture, engineering, and support operations teams, in support of global standardization, system deployments and continuous improvements.
  • Contribute to the management of a whole project management process and systems life cycle management for the implementation and operations of the infrastructure systems
  • Manage production releases while partnering with internal teams to ensure stakeholders are involved with testing, cutover, and hyper care activities
  • Manage the planning and deployment of infrastructure and cloud system integrations with company and third-party provider systems
  • Work with the business process owners to standardize the technology platform and support processes for regional and global IT systems
  • Develop proposals, statements of work, business requirements documents, resource planning and project plans
  • Drive process automation and effective management to replace manual operations and create efficiencies
  • Oversee the relationship with third-party onsite and offshore IT resources on infrastructure and service management activities, including product technical support, incident management, change management, and release management.
  • Work directly with systems vendors and service providers to deliver new functionality and to ensure prompt resolution of any problems or emergencies
  • Act as point of escalation for on-call system support for critical issues as needed
  • Support the business stakeholders in management and definition of business requirements for systems include enhancements and new functions
  • Oversee and maintain IT security and compliance activities in support of compliance regulations, including (SOX, ISO, NIS, etc.)
  • Manage risks and issues proactively, including resources, costs, and systems, and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Define and enforce identity, network infrastructure, application, device, and data security standards, with layered defenses to achieve a zero-trust environment.
  • Review and assist in the development and delivery of system and process training to user community through webinars, videos, knowledge base, and other employee engagement practices
  • Define and publish regular IT infrastructure operations metrics and KPIs
  • Other duties as assigned
