About The Position

The Director, IT Delivery and Scrum will lead PCS Retirement’s enterprise-wide agile value streams, ensuring teams deliver high-quality technology solutions that support our clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. This role manages a team of Technical Analysts, drives Agile best practices, and partners closely with Product, Technology, and Business leaders to improve delivery velocity, transparency, and alignment. The ideal candidate brings deep Agile expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to scale Agile frameworks in a growing organization.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple concurrent workstreams in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive experience leading Agile teams in a technology-driven environment.
  • Proven track record managing Technical Analysts or Agile delivery teams.
  • Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean) and when to apply each.
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
  • Experience implementing Agile at scale within a growing or complex organization.
  • Proficiency with Agile project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Relevant certifications preferred (CSM, CSP, PSM, SAFe Program Consultant, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree a plus.
  • Financial Services experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor Technical Analyst across multiple Agile teams, ensuring consistent application of Agile principles and practices.
  • Partner with Product and Technology leadership to define and refine delivery processes.
  • Oversee sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives across teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance, predictability, and delivery quality.
  • Implement and evolve Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or hybrid models) to support organizational needs.
  • Monitor Agile metrics (velocity, throughput, cycle time, team health) and provide insights to leadership.
  • Remove organizational impediments that impact team productivity or delivery timelines.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and transparency across cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure alignment between business priorities, product roadmaps, and development execution.
  • Coach leaders and stakeholders on Agile mindset, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Support change-management efforts as PCS Retirement continues to scale Agile practices.
  • Champion Agile tools and systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) and ensure consistent usage across teams.
