About The Position

We are seeking a Director of Internal Communications to serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief Administrative Officer and lead communications for key corporate functions. Reporting to the VP of Communications, this role is responsible for shaping and delivering a cohesive internal communications strategy that informs, engages, and aligns employees globally. This role brings that mission to life internally, ensuring employees understand our strategy, priorities, and the impact of their work. This leader partners closely with senior executives and stakeholders across the business to drive clarity during moments of transformation, strengthen culture, and advance business objectives through effective communication. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and skilled storyteller who can translate complexity into clarity, influence at the executive level, and operate with speed and precision in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in corporate communications, including 5+ years of people leadership experience, with a focus on internal and/or executive communications.
  • Experience in HR and change management related communications.
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to senior executives, with a track record of preparing leaders for high-visibility moments and shaping leadership communications.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing communications teams.
  • Experience evolving internal communications strategies, systems, or operating models.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Ability to influence across a matrixed organization and align stakeholders around a clear, cohesive narrative.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead communications partner to the Chief Administrative Officer and Enterprise Enablement leadership (HR, Technology, Security, Workplace Solutions, Corporate Affairs).
  • Define and execute a global internal communications strategy aligned to business priorities and enterprise initiatives.
  • Counsel senior leaders on messaging, positioning, and communication approaches, particularly during periods of change.
  • Develop clear, compelling narratives that translate complex business strategies into relevant, employee-facing communications.
  • Lead executive communications for internal audiences, including presentations, talking points, and key messaging.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment of messaging across functions and channels.
  • Oversee strategy and execution of key employee touchpoints, including town halls, enterprise meetings, and large-scale internal events.
  • Elevate the quality and impact of internal communications to drive engagement, understanding, and action.
  • Partner across Communications and with business leaders to ensure integrated, coordinated communication strategies.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships across functions to influence outcomes and drive alignment.
  • Establish metrics and feedback loops to assess communication effectiveness and inform strategy.
  • Leverage insights to continuously improve engagement, reach, and impact.
  • Lead and develop a team of internal communications professionals, driving high performance, accountability, and capability building.
  • Operate with a high degree of autonomy, sound judgment, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
  • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously evolve internal communications.
