About The Position

The IT Director leads the Information Technology Department, driving strategic planning, innovation, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this role partners with executive leadership to align IT initiatives with business goals, optimize technology investments, and ensure robust information security and compliance. The IT Director manages a professional IT team, oversees vendor relationships, and steers the companys digital transformation.   • Experience managing IT operations and support for business enterprises.
  • Expertise in IT core functions and infrastructure (hardware, networks, enterprise software, outsourced systems).
  • Track record in systems design and development, from requirements definition to management.

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science (Masters Degree a plus).
  • Minimum 10 years in IT supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the Core Leadership team, translating business vision into multi-year, enterprise-wide IT action plans.
  • Define IT operating capabilities and leverage technology to achieve company objectives.
  • Lead IT innovation by prioritizing initiatives and evaluating new systems.
  • Communicate IT vision and plans to executives, department heads, and end users.
  • Recommend and implement priorities for information systems.
  • Develop and enforce IT security requirements to protect company data and systems.
  • Identify and execute cost-effective investments in IT resources.
  • Consult with departments to define business requirements for new IT implementations.
  • Lead evaluation of emerging technologies for business use.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for SCADA system protection and automation.
  • Guide root cause analysis and issue resolution for SCADA systems.
  • Manage a geographically dispersed IT staff, fostering recruitment, development, and retention.
  • Negotiate contracts and oversee third-party vendors and contractors.
  • Define and deploy departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
  • Oversee the design and operation of the corporate website.
  • Ensure continuous delivery and performance improvement of IT services.
  • Direct the development and maintenance of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery plan.
  • Manage IT capital and operating budgets.
  • Collaborate with department managers to maximize Oracle application use for business process improvement.
  • Document business systems and user needs, including workflow and application functions.
  • Develop business, functional, and technical requirements for Oracle application changes.
  • Coordinate development and review of business and technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain information security policies and procedures in compliance with external regulations.
  • Serve as a member of the Emergency Management Committee.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure cybersecurity best practices.
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure policy compliance.
  • Manage incident reporting and response systems.
  • Lead tabletop exercises to test cybersecurity resiliency.
  • Implement ongoing risk assessment and incident prevention programs.
