Located in East Aurora, NY, the Industrial Controls Division is looking for a Director, Industrial Sales and Business Development. As a Director, Industrial Sales and Business Development, you will:

Requirements

  • Professional degree (vocational, professional, or advanced) in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive new business development experience outside of Moog, or a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience within Moog Inc.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% (domestic and/or international).
  • Highly collaborative and strategic mindset, with the ability to develop both short- and long-term visions for new industrial business opportunities.
  • Strong technical understanding of industrial markets and sales channels, combined with sound business acumen and excellent communication skills.
  • Change-agent with an energetic, resilient, and collaborative leadership style, balanced in both success and adversity.
  • Proven ability to work closely and constructively with senior leaders across functions to represent customer needs within Moog.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience in Moog’s core industrial markets and/or experience in industrial aftermarket or OEM environments preferred.
  • Experience implementing differentiated Strategics focus on Customer relationships using an 80/20 mindset

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the GM of the Industrial Controls Division (ICD) and serve as a member of the ICD Leadership Team.
  • Be responsible for the organization, development, and execution of near-term and long-term new business development plans for the ICD Group.
  • Be accountable for increasing and protecting Moog’s market share, expanding Moog’s value-add, and broadening Moog’s industrial customer base globally.
  • Support the development of new business strategy in collaboration with other ICD leadership team members and the global sales teams.
  • Develop a deep understanding of industrial OEMs and end customers, including their business models, strategies, cultures, and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the global sales team, regional sales teams, and operations leadership to ensure strategic alignment and successful handoff of new business opportunities.
  • Execute new product and service introduction sales plans in alignment with global industrial sales strategy.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Moog subsidiaries worldwide on industrial sales initiatives and growth opportunities.
  • Research, analyze, recommend, and execute new business development initiatives to drive incremental revenue and long-term growth.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to business unit leaders in support of pricing strategies, value propositions, and relationship development for new industrial business opportunities and Solutions
