About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and service-oriented Director of Independent Living to join our Leadership Team and provide operational leadership for our Independent Living community. Starting salary at $90,000, commensurate with relevant experience. The Director of Independent Living provides leadership and oversight for all Independent Living services, ensuring an exceptional resident experience while maintaining fiscal responsibility and operational excellence. This position reports directly to the COO and plays a key role in cross-department collaboration and campus-wide planning. This is an opportunity for a strong, relationship-driven leader who values service, accountability, and community.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or a related service environment
  • Experience managing budgets and leading teams
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements
  • Commitment to service excellence and faith-based values

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in senior living or a Life Plan Community environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all Independent Living operations and resident services
  • Manage and monitor the operating budget with a focus on stewardship and performance
  • Ensure hospitality-driven service across resident-facing departments
  • Support resident satisfaction, engagement, and program excellence
  • Collaborate with Health Services and Assisted Living leadership on resident transitions
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to support occupancy and resident retention
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex resident concerns
  • Supervise and develop multidisciplinary teams within Independent Living
  • Promote a culture aligned with our mission and core values
