About The Position

The Director, Area Independent Living Sales drives occupancy and revenue performance across multiple Lifespace communities in our North/Mid-west region by leading high-performing sales teams and executing data-driven sales strategies. This regional leadership role partners closely with Community Sales Directors, Executive Directors, and sales leaders to build strong pipelines, optimize pricing and positioning, and deliver consistent Independent Living sales results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 8–10 years of senior sales leadership experience (multi-community or regional scope)
  • Proven success driving occupancy and revenue, ideally in senior living or CCRC
  • Strong market analysis, pricing, and CRM expertise
  • Collaborative, results-driven leadership style
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute area IL sales strategies to meet or exceed occupancy and revenue goals
  • Coach, mentor, and hold Community Sales Directors accountable for performance
  • Analyze CRM, market, and sales data to identify trends and opportunities
  • Strengthen lead generation, tours, closings, and referral pipelines
  • Partner with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and senior sales leadership on pricing and execution
  • Lead area sales meetings and provide clear performance reporting
  • Represent Lifespace in regional markets and industry events
