About The Position

The Piasecki Aircraft Corporation Director Human Resources leads HR strategy, talent management, and compliance within aerospace manufacturing or engineering environments, typically requiring 7+ years of HR experience. Key duties include partnering with leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, and ensuring strict compliance with safety (EHS) and ITAR/export control regulations. The Director will be responsible for development and implementation of HR strategy and will lead human capital programs and core processes across the company including but not limited to talent assessment and development, performance management, employee relations, total rewards, succession planning and talent pipeline development, organization effectiveness and leadership development.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of progressive HR experience, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and HRIS administration.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving HR issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Requires U.S. citizenship due to export-controlled information (ITAR).

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination and execution of HR events, such as new hire orientations, training sessions, and employee engagement activities.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Enhance the onboarding experience by developing comprehensive orientation programs and facilitating the seamless integration of new hires into the company.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee benefits.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and workplace issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Oversee the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity, timely updates, and accurate reporting of HR metrics.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc HR reports to support strategic decision-making and identify trends in workforce data.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR processes and records to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support managers in the performance appraisal process, including the development of performance improvement plans and the documentation of employee performance.
  • Facilitate the implementation of training programs aimed at enhancing employee skills and competencies.
  • Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, including the coordination of annual reviews and market analysis.
  • Provide employees with information on compensation, benefits, and wellness programs.
  • Lead or participate in special HR projects and initiatives, such as diversity and inclusion efforts, employee engagement surveys, and HR system upgrades.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and employee experience.
