As Director, Human Resources in the Asset Management Equity organization, you will use your energy, business knowledge and ability to build and execute HR strategies to drive business results. The Asset Management HR team provides capabilities that have an impact on the growth and evolution of the culture, and business talent landscape. This global HR team (with offices in Boston, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo) provides a balance of strategic partnership and a set of capabilities that ensure consistent and efficient strategies are used to improve the associate experience and diverse talent capabilities of our organization. We support investment professionals in partnership with the leadership team to enhance the associate experience and drive business results – all in support of delivering exceptional performance for Fidelity’s fund shareholders. This role is Boston based. Assessing and developing the progress of HR capabilities against metrics and goals, and effectively communicating these results Supporting human capital strategies and decisions using workforce data, analytics, and partnerships with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and AM HR capabilities. Providing thought leadership to senior management to collaborate in crafting the structure, processes and ongoing development of our workforce today while positioning the firm to meet future demands for forward-looking capabilities. Partnering with business units to integrate HR capabilities to workforce planning, staffing, talent development, compensation and inclusion strategies to deliver on business results

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of Human Resources experience
  • Proven success serving as a trusted advisor to senior level executives across the globe, and ability to meet at times outside standard Boston business hours
  • Experience in applying your HR knowledge to specific needs of business partners
  • Demonstrated experience in challenging and influencing executive teams on implications of internal and external business trends and issues that influence talent or operating environments
  • Strong decision-making skills and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Ability to align your vision to execute on the delivery of capabilities
  • Strong analytical capability and ability to use data tools (predominately excel) to help translate workforce data into strategy, decision-making and business results
  • Desire to thrive in an environment where there is the opportunity to master new concepts and align new and existing programs with business need
  • Demonstrated vitality and dedication to progress and are not satisfied with the status quo

Responsibilities

  • Assessing and developing the progress of HR capabilities against metrics and goals, and effectively communicating these results
  • Supporting human capital strategies and decisions using workforce data, analytics, and partnerships with HR Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and AM HR capabilities.
  • Providing thought leadership to senior management to collaborate in crafting the structure, processes and ongoing development of our workforce today while positioning the firm to meet future demands for forward-looking capabilities.
  • Partnering with business units to integrate HR capabilities to workforce planning, staffing, talent development, compensation and inclusion strategies to deliver on business results
  • Develops, aligns and executes HR programs and initiatives; seeks successful completion in support of business unit plans.
  • Assesses organizational effectiveness from multiple views of impact and develop solutions to support business improvements.
  • Identifies talent needs, risks and gaps; builds and coordinates execution of a plan to address using talent management tools and resources.
  • Facilitates, executes and/or participates in Talent Review/Succession Planning roundtables for business partners, owning the entire process across the BU/ Function as required.
  • Helps business ensure bench strength by advising with leaders on decisions to build, buy or develop talent addressing benefits and risks of each strategy.
  • Reviews trends in compensation and recommends opportunities and interventions for better alignment of programs to meet business needs.
  • Identifies organizational capabilities needed to deliver against business results, using and integrating Fidelity's Leadership principles and Manager Effectiveness.
