Our global Clinical Research team, who powers our PPD® clinical research portfolio, are part of our leading global contract research organization (CRO). We provide comprehensive, integrated drug development, laboratory and lifecycle management services. Our customers include pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, academic and government organizations. This role is dedicated to support our Clinical Development Services division (CDSD); more specifically Integrated Clinical Solutions (ICS), a team of over 4,000 global colleagues that are enthusiastic about the work they do and the impact they have. These colleagues support Pharmacovigilance, Medical Writing, Regulatory Affairs, Language Services, Global Clinical Supplies, Project Support Services and Site Contracts and Payments. How will you make an impact? As the HR Business Partner / HR Director, you will partner with leaders in our ICS function to provide forward-thinking strategic partnerships, including coaching, organizational design, change management and translation of business priorities into impactful people strategies. With the expertise to build organizational capabilities and innovative HR solutions, you will advance our goals of hiring, engaging, and developing top industry talent. This strategic and solutions-oriented Human Resources Director will work closely with regionally aligned HR business partners, HR platforms and centers of excellence to deliver the businesses strategy and HR operations. This is an in-office position with 1 work from home day, located in our office in Morrisville, NC (Raleigh) or Waltham, MA (Boston).

Requirements

• Advanced Degree plus 8 years of HR experience, or Bachelors Degree plus 10 years of HR experience in a large multinational organization, with demonstrated success as a senior HR business partner
• Demonstrated success in implementing organizational design initiatives, business and change programs and processes that yield positive results.
• Experience working with global teams in a fast- paced, heavily matrixed, and diverse environment.
• Exposure to process improvement approaches and ability to implement.
• Strong consultative style with proven experience supporting senior executives.
• Proven ability to influence and lead others.
• Experience and strength leveraging financial acumen and insights and data to drive strategic consultation.
• Knowledge of contemporary practices in the administration of HR policies.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills with in- depth knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Project management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Consultation skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and act with tact and emotional intelligence.
• Skilled in developing professional relationships with leadership, direct reports, and peers and ability to influence effectively.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of time.
• Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner.
• Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours.

• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.

• Preferred Fields of Study: Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field
• PHR/SPHR or other professional HR certifications desirable
• Clinical Research or Pharma experience (preferred)

• Organizational Adaptability and Resolve: Establish a solid organizational network that promotes a "One HR Team" approach in which activities are core, common, and consistent. Consult with our Centers of Excellence (COE's) in Talent Management, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HR Shared Services and Analytics to achieve successful program objectives.
• Matrix Management: Develop and matrix manage other HR Business Partners by providing coaching, mentorship, employee engagement and work direction. Conducts performance appraisals and career discussions, facilitates employee career development.
