About The Position

The Director of Growth Marketing & Brand Strategy is a senior, cross-disciplinary leader responsible for shaping how GTIA is understood, experienced, and acted upon across the global IT channel. This role owns GTIA’s brand strategy, creative direction, and growth marketing engine, ensuring the brand is not only strong and consistent but also actively driving measurable outcomes, including membership growth, event participation, and utilization of GTIA research, tools, and programs across ITSPs and vendors. Working across teams, this role connects brand and creativity to demand generation, conversion paths, and full-funnel performance. The director translates insight into strategy, strategy into campaigns, and campaigns into results, balancing long-term brand equity with near-term growth goals. This role serves as both a brand steward and a growth operator, setting direction, guiding execution, and ensuring GTIA’s marketing investments are aligned with business impact.

Requirements

  • Strong strategic brand and growth mindset with the ability to operate at both vision and execution levels.
  • Expertise in brand systems, messaging frameworks, and integrated campaign development.
  • Experience designing and optimizing full-funnel marketing programs.
  • Data-informed decision maker comfortable with testing, iteration, and performance measurement.
  • Strong communicator and collaborator with executive presence.
  • Ability to manage complexity, competing priorities, and fast-moving initiatives.
  • 8+ years of experience spanning brand strategy, creative leadership, and growth or demand marketing.
  • Proven ability to connect brand and storytelling to measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing agencies or external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of GTIA’s brand strategy, including positioning, value proposition, voice and tone, brand architecture and visual identity.
  • Translate GTIA’s mission, community role, and charitable impact into a clear, compelling brand narrative that reinforces credibility and leadership across the channel.
  • Leverage market research, competitive analysis, member insights, and industry trend assessments to inform brand and growth strategy.
  • Own brand health, equity, and consistency across all touchpoints, including digital, social, events, regional communities, programs, and partnerships.
  • Create, manage, and evolve GTIA’s brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and governance systems to ensure disciplined, scalable brand execution.
  • Provide creative leadership and oversight across campaigns and initiatives, reviewing high-impact work to ensure quality, cohesion, and alignment.
  • Oversee agency, freelancer, and contractor relationships, ensuring strong creative output, on-time delivery, and strategic alignment.
  • Lead GTIA’s growth marketing strategy, turning brand awareness into action through full-funnel campaigns that drive membership acquisition, engagement and retention.
  • Develop and oversee ITSP and vendor acquisition campaigns tied to GTIA programs, research, events, and community initiatives.
  • Design and optimize conversion paths connected to key moments, including events, launches, and regional activations.
  • Use data and insights to inform testing, optimization, and prioritization across campaigns and channels.
  • Elevate GTIA’s philanthropic and community impact work through strong brand-led storytelling.
  • Ensure charitable initiatives reinforce GTIA’s mission, values, and leadership role within the global IT channel.
