About The Position

The Director, Group Sales will lead the strategy, growth, and execution of all group ticket sales initiatives for three world-class properties at Hard Rock Stadium: Miami Dolphins, F1 Miami Grand Prix, and Miami Open. This individual will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing sales team focused on surpassing revenue goals by driving new business, creating and delivering exceptional customer experiences, and building long-term relationships that foster repeat and referral business. Over the years, the Miami Dolphins have been recognized as one of the premier organizations to work for in professional sports. With the organization's continued growth, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader to take our Group Sales department to the next level. The Group Sales team consistently ranks among the top performing teams in the organization, serving as both a key revenue driver and a career development hub for future sales leaders. Location: This is a full-time position based on site at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of leadership experience managing a high-performing group or ticket sales team, preferably in professional or collegiate sports.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and developing successful sales professionals.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to confidently address large groups and executive-level clients.
  • Experience designing and executing a training and development program for sales professionals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • CRM experience required; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as events require.
  • A collaborative, forward-thinking, and results-driven mindset with a team-first approach.

  • Experience managing group sales across multiple properties or events is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Surpass group sales revenue goals across three world-class properties - Miami Dolphins, F1 Miami Grand Prix, and Miami Open - by leading a high-performing team, innovating new group sales strategies and executing with excellence.
  • Develop and execute the department's annual business plan, including revenue goals by aligning with overall sales goals and culture for the Miami Dolphins, F1 Miami Grand Prix and Miami Open.
  • Conceptualize and execute new group products, experiences, theme nights, community-driven initiatives that generate new sources of revenue and increase the retention of existing clients across all properties.
  • Lead, coach, develop and mentor the Group Sales Manager and reps into sellers who consistently surpass goals through intentional training, coaching and accountability.
  • Maintain accountability for revenue results and key sales metrics while fostering a positive, performance-driven environment.
  • Manage dynamic pricing strategies and offers to capitalize on market demand.
  • Establish effective cross-department relationships and communication (Marketing, Operations, Guest experience, etc.) to ensure seamless event execution and exceptional client experiences.
  • Collaborate with CRM and analytics teams to optimize lead targeting and campaign strategies.
  • Build and manage relationships with key clients, community partners, and local organizations.
