Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an experienced Director of Government Relations for International Trade, Licensing and Tax to help shape the future of a newly independent, global aerospace and defense leader. You will be responsible for advising on and advocating for legislative and regulatory trade and tax policies that support Honeywell’s business objectives, supporting export-import activities of the company, providing relevant subject matter support for performance of major contracts with government and commercial customers, and guiding the business in pursuing relevant tax, grant and incentive benefits that lower costs. This includes working directly with business leaders responsible for developing and implementing strategies on trade and export licenses to protect business interests. You will also monitor international tax and trade policies in relevant markets to Honeywell Aerospace, guide the company in protecting and advancing its equities, and oversee engagement with international partners, regulators or other government stakeholders on relevant tax and trade matters where necessary. You will monitor and influence policy in commercial aviation and defense markets, advocating on behalf of Honeywell’s broad portfolio of advanced aerospace technologies. This role represents a unique opportunity to design and execute an integrated government relations strategy that strengthens Honeywell Aerospace’s position with US and global policymakers and strategic stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Advising on and advocating for legislative and regulatory trade and tax policies that support Honeywell’s business objectives
- Supporting export-import activities of the company
- Providing relevant subject matter support for performance of major contracts with government and commercial customers
- Guiding the business in pursuing relevant tax, grant and incentive benefits that lower costs
