About The Position

As Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) prepares for its next chapter, the Director, Global Transformation will be instrumental in shaping and executing transformation strategies that position the organization for long-term success. This role requires expertise in problem solving, analytics, and change management across a complex business environment. The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable and a “doer”. We work in a very dynamic and ever-changing environment. The role requires someone who is highly motivated, flexible and resilient. For the next 6-9 months the majority of the work will be on the separation. The role is a key member of the Separation team and will lead workstreams, manage timelines, deliverables and tracking, and problem-solve paths forward. The successful candidate will need to get up to speed quickly on WBD’s current business and be able to hit the ground running as the separation is already well underway.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in business transformation or strategy, ideally within media, entertainment, or technology sectors.
  • Proven success managing cross-functional projects in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Strategic Thinking: Exceptional strategic thinking and problem solving with the ability to develop long-term transformation plans that align with evolving industry trends.
  • Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical skills. Experience in gathering and analyzing data and developing actionable recommendations.
  • Change Management: Experience managing change management programs with a proven record of being a change agent and motivating the organization to embrace new ways of working.
  • Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex strategies to a diverse set of audiences.
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience working with a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Adaptability: Be highly adaptable and flexible. Be comfortable in ambiguous and changing environments
  • Global Perspective: Experience working in international markets with an understanding of cultural, regulatory, and operational differences.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Transformation Manage transformation strategies aligned with WBD’s mission, values, and the evolving market landscape. Collaborate with colleagues across business units on initiatives that drive growth and innovation.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making and Problem Solving Structure high-level and ambiguous problems soundly and develop clear insights using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Utilize analytics and business intelligence to develop data-driven recommendations. Partner with business leaders to define the scope, goals and KPIs for transformation initiatives.
  • Change & Program Management Lead the planning and execution of workstreams within large-scale transformation programs, or end to end management of smaller-scale transformation work. Develop detailed project plans, define clear milestones, track progress, manage risks and ensure initiatives are delivered on time. Establish project governance and reporting mechanisms, providing regular updates to the GSVP Global Transformation. Facilitate and lead meetings with stakeholders and internal team members.
  • Operational Excellence & Innovation Champion the integration of digital technologies and AI to enhance content delivery, audience engagement, and internal workflows. Develop plans to manage cross-functional efforts to optimize processes, reduce complexity, and improve performance across global operations. Partner with functional leaders to analyze current state processes, identify gaps and design future state operating models.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Serve as a strategic thought partner to Transformation leaders and business leads on company-wide transformation initiatives and functional specific initiatives. Communicate transformation goals, progress, and impact clearly and consistently to various stakeholders.
  • Team Dynamics Collaborate with other team members within the Global Transformation team. Develop and foster strong team relationships. Be proactive and positive. Be equally comfortable working as a part of a team, and working independently.
