About The Position

The Global Market Access (GMAx) organization is committed to supporting sustainable access to our medicines and vaccines at prices that reflect their value. The Director, Global Pricing Strategy & Policy, will contribute to the development and implementation of pricing strategies and solutions, focusing on the US and select global markets. This role supports the enterprise pricing framework and collaborates with cross-functional teams to address the evolving external access and pricing environment.

Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical pricing strategy, policy analysis, and market access in US and global markets, with a solid understanding of healthcare systems, policy, and pricing regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse US and global stakeholders.
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to support complex pricing analyses.
  • Strategic agility and integrity in navigating regulatory and commercial environments.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, analytical critical thinking and planning skills.
  • Proactive nature and ability to manage change, anticipate risks, and design controls or mitigation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Proficient at leading across diverse department and roles and effectively engaging senior management.
  • Strong judgment, prioritization, and decision - making skills, with understanding of broader context of corporate strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Pricing Strategy Support: Assist in the creation and execution of pricing approaches and principles aligned with company values. Contribute to the development of innovative pricing models and support best practices for value recognition by stakeholders.
  • Policy Monitoring & Impact Analysis: Track changes in global pricing and reimbursement policies (e.g., IRA, MFN, international reference pricing, transparency laws, EU HTA/JCA) and assess their impact on access and pricing strategies. Collaborate with regional teams to identify policy risks affecting lifecycle management.
  • Value Engagement: Support initiatives to articulate company positions on pricing policies, ensuring alignment with pricing principles and the company’s commitment to patient access.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Partner with Pricing Operations to contribute to the design and use of pricing dashboards and analytical models, providing insights for in-line and pipeline assets. Apply analytics such as price elasticity and scenario modeling under guidance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Global Pricing, Market Access, Government Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure pricing policies are competitive and consistent. Participate in relevant leadership team meetings and support team initiatives.
  • Benchmarking & Market Intelligence: Assist in benchmarking pricing strategies across therapeutic areas and geographies, and track payer behavior and HTA outcomes to inform pricing tactics.
