About The Position

Director of Global Commercial Training directs and oversees the organization’s commercial employee training programs to ensure maximum effectiveness. Ensures that commercial teams effectively onboard employees and develops and executes programs to support these efforts regionally. Establishes procedures and guidelines for assessing the quality of training, competency of commercial team members, and makes recommendations to evolve the structure and content of programs to support evolving business needs. Provides support for changes if standards are not met or skill/knowledge gaps are identified.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience developing and teaching best in class training material required
  • 3+ years’ experience in a commercial training role
  • Medical Device Experience Required
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to influence business leaders to identify priorities, direction, and resources.
  • Resourceful leader who is inquisitive and creative in developing training strategies
  • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Team player with exceptional ability to work with multiple stakeholders and levels throughout the organization
  • Identifies priorities and agile to shift direction or resources when needed
  • Organized with strong time management skills

  • Experience in a global training environment strongly recommended

Responsibilities

  • Manages Global Training activities and budgets. Directs and prioritizes training programs to ensure timeliness, effectiveness, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborates with senior sales leadership to understand and prioritize learning needs and solutions.
  • Collaborates with external vendors (training development, design, content development) and Subject Matter Experts (i.e. marketing, sales managers, clinical specialists, etc.) to close skills, knowledge, technical, and performance gaps.
  • Develops content in close collaboration with SMEs and external vendors as needed.
  • Administrator for LMS
  • Assesses current programs and resources to build/execute appropriate learning journeys, ensuring individual competencies and organizational goals are met.
  • Identify metrics and monitor the effectiveness of these initiatives globally and per region.
  • 25-35% Travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
