Position Summary The Director of FP&A provides strategic financial leadership and enterprise-level analytical support for TOPS Products. This role serves as a key strategic partner to Executive Leadership, including the CFO, COO, Sales and Operations leaders, and Manufacturing leadership. The Director is responsible for driving financial strategy, long-range planning, profitability optimization, capital allocation, and performance management. This role leads the development of forward-looking insights that shape business decisions, improve operational efficiency, and enhance shareholder value. The Director also builds and develops a high-performing FP&A function and ensures financial processes support scalable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or strategic finance roles.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with executive leadership and influencing enterprise-level decisions.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and valuation expertise.
  • Deep knowledge of budgeting, cash flow forecasting, capital management, and profitability analysis.
  • Experience leading strategic planning processes and long-range modeling.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (D365 preferred) and reporting tools (Power BI & Essbase preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills required; experience with BI and analytics tools strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership and team-building capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong background in manufacturing or operationally complex environments preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise-wide Strategic Planning process, including development of long-range financial models, scenario planning, and valuation of strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on financial strategy, growth opportunities, capital deployment, and risk management.
  • Provide financial leadership in evaluating new markets, channel expansion, pricing strategies, and operational productivity initiatives.
  • Lead financial analysis related to M&A activity, platform optimization, and integration planning.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process and rolling forecast cycles for assigned functions.
  • Review and challenge forecasts and budgets to identify trends, risks, margin opportunities, and working capital improvements.
  • Establish and enhance financial and operational KPIs that drive accountability and performance transparency.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on revenue mix, product profitability, customer profitability, and cost structure optimization.
  • Develop and oversee cash flow and balance sheet forecasting processes.
  • Lead capital expenditure analysis and capital allocation decision-making frameworks.
  • Prepare and present business cases supporting investment, restructuring, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Operations and Manufacturing leadership to proactively identify cost savings, productivity improvements, and margin expansion opportunities.
  • Drive development of scalable monthly customer profitability reporting across platforms and systems.
  • Strengthen forecasting accuracy through enhanced analytics, modeling sophistication, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives across FP&A and financial reporting functions to improve efficiency and insight generation.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and promote a culture of analytical rigor, accountability, and collaboration.
  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority to drive alignment and execution.
