General Description: The Director, Forecasting & Analytics, North America is a strategic leader responsible for developing, enhancing, and executing national forecast models to support North America’s inline Hematology business. This role oversees both short‑range and long‑range forecasting, ensuring that assumptions are grounded in robust analytical work and cross‑functional insights. The Director will lead a high‑performing team that partners closely with Primary Market Research, Advanced Analytics, Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain to build accurate, scenario‑based forecasts and uncover drivers, risks, and opportunities that shape the U.S. business outlook. This leader will also collaborate with Pipeline and Global teams to generate, validate, and integrate key assumptions for future indications into long‑range planning models. In addition to forecast leadership, the Director will drive ad‑hoc analytics, synthesizing primary research, secondary data, and performance trends into clear, actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. This is a highly visible role that regularly engages Senior Commercial Leadership to communicate forecast expectations, performance drivers, and business implications. Success in this role requires strong analytical depth, the ability to translate complex findings into compelling narratives, and a proven track record of building, coaching, and developing teams. The Director must excel at cross‑functional collaboration and influence, working seamlessly across Marketing, Sales, Finance, Market Access, Medical, and Supply Chain. The role will also support pipeline evaluations and commercial assessments as needed.

Requirements

  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to convert complex data into meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Strong leadership and talent development capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills across diverse audiences, including Senior Leadership.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without authority.
  • Proficiency in forecasting methodologies, pharmaceutical data sources, and scenario planning.
  • Ability to adapt plans, models and strategies as new market findings arise.
  • BA or BS with concentration in Life Sciences, Marketing, or Business with 10+ years of experience; MBA or other advanced degree preferred with 7+ years of experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in forecasting and analytics.
  • Biotech or pharmaceutical in-house experience required, consulting experience strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Data visualization and programming skills (Python, SQL, etc) preferred.
  • Experience with and understanding of pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IMS MIDAS, Symphony Health -SHA).
  • Advanced Excel and Power Point
  • Data visualization (Tableau, Power BI) highly preferred
  • Programming knowledge such as Python, R, SQL (nice-to-have)

Responsibilities

  • Lead development, enhancement, and execution of national short‑ and long‑range forecast models for U.S. Hematology assets.
  • Integrate insights from primary research, secondary data, claims analytics, and competitive intelligence into forecast assumptions.
  • Partner with Pipeline teams to build forecast inputs for future indications and incorporate them into long‑range forecasting frameworks.
  • Manage ad‑hoc analytics to support strategic decision‑making, synthesizing diverse data sources into actionable insights.
  • Provide clear communication to Senior Leadership on forecast expectations, risks, opportunities, and key business drivers.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team with strong technical and strategic capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Market Access, Supply Chain, and Medical to ensure alignment on performance expectations and strategic planning.
  • Contribute to commercial assessments, launch planning, and strategic analyses for pipeline assets as required.
