About The Position

The Director of Food and Nutrition Services is responsible for the effective, efficient, and safe operation of all aspects of food service for the Health System; including the patient, cafeteria, and catering services. This position reviews, formulates, and implements policy and organizational changes, working within established guidelines and the mission of the John Muir Health System. This position is responsible for the following programs/teams: Food and Nutrition Services including dietary and retail services. c.) Education: Bachelor's Degree - Science or Food-related field - Required Master's Degree - Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or Related Field - Required Experience: 5 - 7 years Management - Director Position - Preferred 5 - 7 years Food Services - Healthcare Management - Required Certifications/Licensures: Serv Safe Certification - ServSafe - Required CDM Certified Dietary Manager - ANFP Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals - Required Work Shift: Exempt Salaried (United States of America) Pay Range: $166,258.00 - $249,386.00 Salary Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it. John Muir Health also offers complete inpatient and outpatient behavioral health programs and services at our 73-bed fully accredited psychiatric hospital and outpatient center located in Concord. In addition, John Muir Health provides a number of primary care and outpatient services at 89 practice sites throughout the community and urgent care centers in Berkeley, Brentwood, Concord, San Ramon and Walnut Creek.
