POSITION SUMMARY: The Director, Financial Analysis & Planning (FAP) is responsible for the daily activities of the Financial Analysis and Planning department, including management and support of the Company’s Budget process and other strategic plans. The incumbent leads the reporting to review the company’s field performance and develops and provides tools for monthly and quarterly field reporting processes. The Director, Financial Analysis & Planning is also responsible for the management and development of finance and accounting professionals. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads executive-level financial support function, including monthly review of financial results with the CEO, COO, CFO and EVPs. Maintains regular and broad functional relationships with all business groups. Reviews financial results, analyzing business trends and projecting future results of the business. Provides and oversees the financial support to the Controllership department including preparation for monthly management meetings and financial information for the quarterly board of director meetings. Develops and maintains complex models supporting the Company’s strategic plan, budgets, financings and credit rating requests. Manages and leads the Company’s budget process including developing goals and guidelines, updating field templates and designing reports to be used at all levels of the organization. Develops targets associated with the Company’s Annual Incentive Plan and Long Term Incentive Plan and calculates performance related to those plans. Prepares quarterly and annual board of director presentations. Maintains the Company’s intrinsic value calculation used in the Company’s capital allocation strategy. Administers the Company’s budgeting and forecasting systems through Oracle EPBCS and Workday Adaptive Planning. Designs and maintains reports used to review field performance. Owns the preparation and review of several key SOX controls over financial reporting. Coaches and develops a team of professionals to assist in their development and attainment of necessary skills to lift performance. Monitors staff performance and drives performance improvement initiatives and ensures that service levels meet or exceed agreed upon standards. Other non-essential duties as assigned or may be necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in the Finance Department of a Fortune 500 company.
