The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is a highly visible, strategic leadership role responsible for directing and executing all forward-looking financial processes for SCI Technology. This leader will be the focal point for aggregating, analyzing, and synthesizing all financial projections, delivering timely and actionable insights to SCI leadership, Sanmina Corporate executives, and other key decision-makers. A primary mandate for this role is to lead the design and implementation of an integrated financial planning framework, consolidating currently disparate data sources into a single, cohesive common operating picture. The Director will drive operational and financial efficiency through best-in-class planning, forecasting, and resource management methodologies.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or a Computer Technology field, with a minimum of 8 years of progressive FP&A experience in a manufacturing environment.
OR Master's Degree in an appropriate field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
OR Non-degree candidates with a minimum of 10 years in a manufacturing environment performing tasks representative of this position, demonstrating high-level financial leadership.
Advanced MS Excel Skills are mandatory for complex modeling and analysis.
Financial Software Proficiency: Experience with commercial FP&A software systems; experience with Tagetik is preferred.
Regulatory Framework: Deep working knowledge and demonstrable application of the following are required: ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
U.S. Government contract financing (FAR Part 32) and contract types (FAR Part 16).
Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR Part 31).

Defense Sector Experience: Previous experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Annual Operating Plan (AOP) / Budget: Lead the comprehensive, site-wide development, compilation, and review of the annual financial budget (AOP) for all business segments and functional departments.
Long-Range Planning (LRP): Direct the development and analysis of the site's 3-5 year strategic financial plan, translating strategic business objectives into executable financial targets.
Monthly Forecasting: Oversee the site-wide monthly forecast rollup and detailed analysis of key financial metrics, including Orders, Sales, Profit, and Cash Flow, incorporating proactive Risk & Opportunity (R&O) assessments.
Financial Cadence: Own and continually improve the rhythm, reliability, and accuracy of all FP&A monthly, quarterly, and annual processes.
Capital Expenditures (CAPEX): Manage the CAPEX budget, leading financial justification, analysis, and tracking for all major facility and equipment investments.
Discretionary Spending: Oversee the financial management and performance analysis for critical indirect investment pools, including Bid & Proposal (B&P) and Internal Research & Development (IRAD) budgets.
Indirect Cost Management: Develop and analyze indirect/Overhead (OH) budgets and rate performance by pool and department, partnering with functional leaders to ensure cost control and favorable rate outcomes.
Financial Compliance Support: Provide direct financial support and partnership on critical Government Accounting matters, including the Disclosure Statement (Disc Stmt), DFARS business systems compliance, the Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP), and Incurred Cost Submission (ICS).
Contractual Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and FAR Part 31 principles in all financial planning and rate development activities.
Revenue Recognition: Ensure all planning and forecasting activities correctly account for revenue recognition under ASC 606, specifically concerning the application of Point-in-Time and Over-Time recognition models within a defense manufacturing context.
USG Contract Finance: Demonstrate a strong understanding of U.S. Government contract financing (FAR Part 32) and contract types (FAR Part 16) to accurately model risk and opportunity.
