About The Position

The Director of Finance plays a critical strategic and operational role in shaping the financial direction of Fraport USA. This leader is responsible for financial planning, reporting, accounting oversight, and cross departmental collaboration that enables high performing airport operations and long term business growth. The Director of Finance ensures financial integrity, supports executive decision making, drives continuous performance improvement, and leads a skilled finance team aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in airport concessions, retail, hospitality, real estate, or related industries.
  • Proven success managing FP&A, accounting operations, budgeting cycles, and financial reporting.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a complex, multi-location environment.

Responsibilities

  • Translate organizational goals into comprehensive financial strategies and multi year financial plans.
  • Provide executive level insights and recommendations that guide company direction, growth initiatives, and capital planning.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members, fostering a high performance, collaborative culture.
  • Partner closely with Operations, HR, Commercial, Legal, and Executive Leadership to ensure alignment on financial priorities and operational performance.
  • Develop and maintain advanced financial models for forecasting, budgeting, scenario analysis, and performance measurement.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and manage ongoing budget to actual results.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs that drive business performance across airports and corporate functions.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reports for internal stakeholders, external partners, and governing bodies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in GAAP/IFRS and ensure the integrity of all financial statements.
  • Lead internal and external audit processes; maintain documentation, schedules, and financial records with precision.
  • Design and oversee internal control policies that safeguard assets and ensure strong risk mitigation.
  • Oversee tax strategy, filings, and regulatory submissions—collaborating with external tax advisors when needed.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and cash forecasting to support operational and strategic needs.
  • Oversee revenue recognition, billing processes, and pricing considerations, including ASC 606 compliance when applicable.
  • Lead CAPEX planning and financial oversight for capital projects.
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities while supporting operational continuity and organizational objectives.
  • Utilize ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) to manage financial data and drive reporting efficiency.
  • Leverage analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau to create dashboards and performance insights.
  • Apply advanced Excel skills for modeling, scenario planning, and data automation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across financial workflows.
  • Apply strong critical thinking abilities to diagnose issues, identify root causes, and develop actionable solutions.
  • Communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to non financial stakeholders including airport authorities and executive partners.
  • Negotiate effectively with vendors, partners, and leadership teams while influencing outcomes aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Assess and proactively mitigate financial risks across the business.
  • Lead teams through financial system upgrades, organizational transitions, and key change management initiatives.
