About The Position

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on, and business-oriented Director Finance to lead the organization’s overall financial strategy, governance, and performance management. This role will be a key member of the Leadership Team, partnering closely with the CEO and functional heads to drive growth, financial discipline, and long-term sustainability. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across accounting, taxation, and financial planning, along with a strong understanding of US financial operations, reporting requirements, and cross-border business considerations, critical for a company operating in or serving the US market.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • CA / ACCA / CMA qualification is mandatory.
  • 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong command of IFRS, local tax regulations, and working knowledge of US finance and reporting practices.
  • Experience managing US market exposure, cross-border transactions, or international clients.
  • Proven ability to scale finance functions in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial analytics tools.
  • Strong commercial acumen, leadership presence, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with business goals and growth plans.
  • Act as a strategic finance partner to the CEO and Leadership Team on pricing, profitability, investments, and expansion decisions.
  • Provide financial modeling, scenario analysis, and insights to support leadership decision-making.
  • Lead long-range financial planning, including multi-year growth and scalability planning.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable local and US-related financial and reporting requirements.
  • Own external audits and financial reviews with auditors and consultants.
  • Lead companywide budgeting, forecasting, and rolling forecast cycles.
  • Establish financial dashboards, KPIs, and management reports for Leadership Team visibility.
  • Track performance against budgets, identify risks/opportunities, and drive corrective actions.
  • Embed financial accountability across departments through strong business partnering.
  • Oversee all taxation matters including income tax, sales tax, withholding taxes, and applicable international tax considerations.
  • Manage relationships with tax advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Identify financial, compliance, and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure strong controls around revenue, costs, payroll, and cash management.
  • Own cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and working capital optimization.
  • Manage banking relationships, payments, and treasury operations.
  • Oversee fund utilization, financial risk exposure, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Support financing, or restructuring initiatives as required by the business.
  • Lead finance process optimization, automation, and ERP implementation initiatives.
  • Ensure finance systems and processes are scalable and support multi-entity, multi-currency operations.
  • Implement best practices in financial reporting, controls, and data accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement across accounting, FP&A, and reporting functions.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing finance function across accounting, taxation, FP&A, and treasury.
  • Mentor finance team members; establish succession and capability-building plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear goals, performance expectations, and development paths for the finance team.
  • Prepare and present financial performance updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Support leadership discussions on growth strategy, cost efficiency, and operational scalability.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to internal and external stakeholders.
