About The Position

Position Summary... The Director, Finance will serve as the finance lead supporting Walmart’s Perishable Supply Chain Network’s Automation & Product efforts. You will work closely with our Engineering, Product and Centroid Strategy partners to refine our long-term strategy, and be a key finance voice influencing the future of our Perishable Supply Chain. What you'll do... Evaluate and support future investment decisions through financial analysis, risk assessment and partnership with our engineering leaders . P roduc e complex financial models that incorporate assumptions, expectations, and known risks . P repar e and participat e in presentations for recommendations to senior and executive management . Oversee and manage short and long-term strategic financial planning by partnering with different business leaders to assess multiple segment goals. Establish and communicate financial targets. Identify and report risks determined for the overall financial plan. Provide actionable insights and facilitate consensus about financial decisions across stakeholders. Collaborate with senior management to report on investment and automation performance. Identify operational and financial gaps between results and targets. Provide feedback to management regarding successes and opportunities associated with automation projects. Communicate relevant trends and expected future performance. Develop and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce . D iagnos e capability gaps and develop associates to create a well-rounded team, while leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent . S upport mentorship, team development, and succession planning . Cultivate a strong culture and environment w ith a focus on continuous improvement and financial stewardship . A ssociates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices . D evelop consequences for violations or non-compliance and support the Open Door Policy. Develop and leverage partnerships and network to maximize the achievement of business goals . Support key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives . Engage with business partners and promote financial acumen growth and effective budget management .

Requirements

  • You have 8 + years of finance FP&A, strategy planning or finance transformation for major business operations within a large corporation or major management consulting firm
  • You have finance experience with Supply Chain, Corporate Real Estate, or Retail Operations with a retail large chain or firm with physical or public locations
  • You have 2+ years of experience building teams and managing people
  • You have considerable experience facing clients and influencing financial decisions
  • You can manage process improvement and the standardization of financial models
  • You excel at presenting financial cases to partners and senior-level management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or relevant area OR 7 years’ experience i n accounting, finance, or related area
  • 2 years’ supervisory experience
  • 2 years’ experience leading and completing cross-functional projects
