About The Position

As the Director, Finance and Accounting with Legacy Healthcare Services you will be part of an organization who helps seniors live their best and healthiest life. In this role, you will lead and develop accounting, FP&A, and purchasing team members. This position will also oversee financial activities, manage budgets and provide strategic financial guidance to support the overall goals of the business. This role does require previous experience in a healthcare. Key responsibilities extend beyond traditional accounting to financial operations and engagement with Operations management.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of corporate accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility ideally in a healthcare setting; leadership role preferred.
  • Demonstrates an excellent understanding of the revenue cycle process in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills and proficient in the use of accounting software applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to work independently, excellent time management, detail oriented, flexible and diplomatic.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, develop and coach accounting, FP&A and purchasing team members.
  • Develop and manage the company’s financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reports and analyses, and ensure adherence to all deadlines.
  • Develop a solid understanding of the business and proactively engage with Operations management stakeholders to assist with driving business results.
  • Create visibility of business trends and variance analysis through executive summaries of monthly financial and operational results and other trend analysis reporting and commentary.
  • Coordinate and lead the annual external financial audit.
  • Assist with managing banking relationships.
  • Cash forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Director to monitor cash collections, assess collectability of outstanding claims, and maintain appropriate AR reserves.
  • Responsible for preparation, coordination and review of the annual budget.
  • Compliance with government and tax reporting requirements.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
