About The Position

The Sales Director drives sales growth and strategy for coffee, tea, beverage concentrates, and RTD products, while revamping Westrock's sales integration with our Equipment and Service group. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Sales, this role is supported with cross functional marketing, insights, and innovation teams.   Job Duties: Produces new sales opportunities to meet budgeted financial goals while maintaining company standards. Prospect new clients while keeping in close contact with existing customer portfolio and presenting new solutions stemming from industry trends and particular customer needs. Own channel annual financial and budgetary goals while contributing to product innovation and customer driven projects. Work closely within the cross-functional team to support the entire company's interests of continually increasing the presence of Westrock Coffee in all markets of focus. Manage time effectively to maximize results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years' experience in the food, beverage or dairy industries or equivalent background or a similar business to business environment.
  • Sales team leadership managing remote groups and holding teams accountable for delivery of sales targets and financial metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence without direct authority.
  • Knowledge of stage gate development processes
  • Ability to effectively manage issues at a project level and proactively identify when issues require escalation
  • Excellent PC computer skills and ability to manage data electronically
  • Adept at providing technical sales advice and support
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Detail-oriented and demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong initiative and ability to be self-directed in completing tasks and function with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptive to internal processes and change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to domestic and/or international sites

Nice To Haves

  • Background with coffee and tea beverage equipment is helpful.
  • Experience with cross-functional selling and project management.
  • Experience with food service dispensed coffee, tea, and other dispensed beverage programs and platforms a strong plus
  • Familiarity with sustainable certifications and programs such as Rainforest Alliance, organic, Fair Trade a plus
  • Sensory skills and knowledge of sensory evaluation techniques a plus
