About The Position

This role offers the opportunity to lead and shape the organization’s evaluation function, ensuring that insights are actionable, timely, and drive strategic decision-making across programs, funding, and policy. You will oversee a team of evaluation professionals, guiding methodological rigor, setting priorities, and establishing best practices for data collection, analysis, and reporting. The position requires close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and leadership to translate findings into recommendations that inform program design, scalability, and equity outcomes. You will also contribute to thought leadership, presenting evaluation insights to internal and external audiences, and help embed a culture of continuous learning throughout the organization. This is a high-impact, remote role for someone passionate about maternal and infant health, program evaluation, and translating data into meaningful social impact.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in evaluation and research, ideally in maternal, infant, or child health.
  • Proven leadership experience managing direct reports and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting, timeline management, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Expertise in mixed methods evaluation, integrating quantitative and qualitative data to inform findings.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and survey software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R, Excel, Tableau, Qualtrics).
  • Experience contributing to grant writing, research manuscripts, and reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex findings to diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to advancing health equity and translating evaluation into actionable impact.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and oversight of organization-wide evaluation initiatives to ensure actionable and high-quality findings.
  • Develop and execute long-term evaluation strategies aligned with organizational goals, including translating insights into recommendations for program refinement, scaling, and policy positioning.
  • Manage and mentor a team of evaluation professionals, fostering collaboration, skill development, and adherence to methodological standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design data collection strategies, evaluation frameworks, and reporting systems.
  • Oversee project management, including budgets, timelines, workflows, and resource allocation for evaluation initiatives.
  • Ensure evaluation quality, rigor, ethical standards, and equitable data collection practices.
  • Produce executive-ready dashboards, briefs, and presentations to communicate findings to leadership, funders, and external stakeholders.
