The Director, ERP Program Office is accountable for the overall governance, orchestration, and delivery execution of a multi-year SAP S/4HANA transformation. This role serves as the single point of accountability for integrated planning, scope control, financial management, risk and issue management, and executive reporting across all workstreams, systems integrators, and business stakeholders. The role partners closely with Program Leaders, business and technology leaders, and system integrators to ensure the program delivers business value, maintains delivery discipline, and achieves successful go lives across all phases of the SAP S/4HANA lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience leading large-scale enterprise transformation programs involving SAP ERP solution.
  • Proven leadership of complex, multi-workstream ERP programs with significant business change and multiple go lives.
  • Strong experience with program governance, financial management, and executive reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, drive alignment, and make outcome based decisions.
  • Experience working with global system integrators and managing large vendor ecosystems.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior accountability for enterprise SAP S/4HANA deployments (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Order to Cash).
  • Experience operating in high growth or decentralized enterprises with multiple sites, waves, or markets.
  • Strong understanding of change management, data migration, testing, and cutover orchestration.
  • Background in both business and technology leadership roles.

Responsibilities

  • Own and operate the enterprise SAP Program Office, establishing and executing governance, cadence, decision forums, and escalation paths.
  • Serve as the primary integration point across business, IT, and implementation partners, ensuring one unified delivery plan and operating model.
  • Drive leadership alignment and decision making across scope, sequencing, resourcing, and deployment strategy.
  • Accountable for end-to-end program execution across Design, Build, Test, Deploy, and Hypercare phases.
  • In partnership with Systems Integrator, maintain the integrated master plan, dependencies, milestones, and critical path across all SAP and non-SAP workstreams.
  • Ensure disciplined execution across releases, waves, and deployments, including readiness, cutover, and stabilization.
  • Partner with the IT Business Management team to enable the accurate reporting of program budget, forecasts, and financial controls, including vendor spend and benefit realization tracking.
  • Enforce scope governance, change control, and release management to protect timeline and value.
  • Proactively manage program risks, issues, and recovery plans; drive transparent executive communications.
  • Ensure the program is anchored to measurable business outcomes, not just technical delivery.
  • Partner with business leaders to define, track, and report value realization, KPIs, and operational impacts.
  • Provide fact-based recommendations on tradeoffs between scope, cost, timeline, and value.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise executive updates for sponsors, steering committees, and board-level audiences.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insight on delivery, health, risks, and decision options.
  • Lead cross functional alignment across Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, and Technology teams.
  • Lead and develop program managers and workstream PMs.
  • Manage and hold system integrators and vendors accountable to delivery commitments, quality, and outcomes.
  • Establish delivery standards, tools, and methodologies to enable consistency and scalability.
  • supervises assigned team members (in-person and remote); talent selection and training; planning, assigning, and directing work; performance management, including conducting performance reviews; recognizing team members; addressing and resolve concerns timely, escalate for help when necessary.
