About The Position

Plans, organizes and provides oversight and accountability for information systems services and activities for assigned hospitals and business clients. Acts as point person for those sites/clients. Secures clients plans, identifies solutions and integrates appropriately into Health System, Corporate IT plans. Communicates approved plans and appropriate updates to sites/clients. Highly Preferred: Multiple Epic Certifications: Possessing multiple Epic certifications, particularly across HIM, Identity, Cadence, Prelude, and downstream modules like Resolute Professional Billing (PB) or Hospital Billing (HB). Large-Scale Optimization: Proven experience leading significant Epic optimization initiatives specifically targeting HIM workflows, patient identity management, scheduling efficiency, or registration accuracy across a large, complex healthcare system. Interdepartmental Integration: Track record of successfully integrating HIM, Identity, Cadence, and Prelude functions with other critical revenue cycle areas (e.g., coding, billing, denials management, patient financial services). Data Analytics & Reporting: Deep familiarity with Epic reporting tools (e.g., Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, Clarity/Caboodle) to perform advanced analytics and drive data-driven decision-making for revenue cycle improvements. Professional Certifications: Relevant industry certifications such as CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative), CHFP (Certified Healthcare Financial Professional), or HIM certifications (RHIA, RHIT). Multi-Facility/System Experience: Experience managing revenue cycle operations and Epic deployments across multiple facilities, campuses, or a diverse health system. Patient Experience Focus: Proven ability to implement Epic solutions and workflows that not only optimize revenue but also enhance the patient access and financial experience. Vendor Management: Experience collaborating with and managing third-party vendors for Epic support, enhancement projects, or complementary revenue cycle solutions. Change Management Leadership: Strong background in leading organizational change and adoption strategies for new Epic features or workflow re-designs. Specific Project Experience: Prior experience with significant projects such as enterprise-wide MPI cleanups, large-scale HIM system conversions, or major Cadence/Prelude upgrades.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 7-12 years of relevant technical experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads a Product Services & Management group by communicating with and developing staff members, and building consensus for programs and goals that support a business, function or geographic area.
  • Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
  • Participates in client planning processes, analyzes key business initiatives and information needs which support, influence and transform business operations and strategy.
  • Collaborates with IT leadership to ensure client plan is aligned with Enterprise plan.
  • Participates in development of strategic goals, objectives and plans for clients and IT.
  • Provides leadership in executing those plans.
  • Communicates Information Technology’s vision, goals, objectives, and efficiencies related to execution and implementation of information system solutions to client leadership.
  • Provides leadership in defining the process and service levels delivered to clients.
  • Ensures service levels are accurate and meet client needs.
  • Facilitates relationships with client and IT leadership, and key strategic vendors.
  • Participates in capital and operating budget preparation and demand management related to all IT requests from clients.
  • Reviews monitoring reports to ensure project forecasts are aligned with approved budgets.
  • Collaborates with client sponsors and key members of IT to define the return on investment (ROI) and the post implementation process to assure that cost effective investments are being made.
  • Oversees/ sponsors the successful completion of IT Capital approved projects for assigned clients.
  • Ensures IT maintains the infrastructure, network, key applications, desktop support and proper disaster recovery procedures.
  • Participates in applicable education and meetings in order to support client needs.
  • Provides leadership and knowledge to maintain an accurate Application Inventory which is understood, communicated and supported
